- This is the second game that Chargin' Chucks were planned to be in.
- Boomerang Bros. were replaced by Hammer Bros., though it flips around in the next game., where Boomerang Bros. are playable.
- This is the first, and only game so far, that a fan-made enemy is featured.
- In the PAL Version of the game, Kamek's kart the Magik Kart is called the Magikruiser, also the name of a Koopa Kart HD kart for NTSC & PAL.
