Super Smash Bros. Rebels is a game for the the Nintendo Switch X. It is the first game not to be produced by Mashiro Sakurai due to his retirement.

Smash[]

The Classic orginal free for all mode where players can duel with cpu's or with friends. You can customize your setting to either play in a timed, battle, a stock, or stamina battle. You can play among any of the stages in the game along with any of the characters you unlocked.

Squad Strike[]

In this mode, you can form an alliance of 3, 5, or 7 to battle against a foe. There are two ways to play this mode, you can play an elimination style battle or tag team where the opponents is swapped after KOed. You can also form teams with friends if you want

Smashdown[]

In this mode, you will start off with all the characters(excluding Mii Fighters) and play down to every character, once a chararter is played, it’s no longer available until the end.

Adventure Mode[]

This Adventure Mode, unlike the others, has a heavy grasp on the kid in reality. It takes place after the ending of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where the spirits and fighters have returned to the real world, the kid enjoyed playing with all these toys for the past 20 years, but 10 years later, the kid has lost intrest and felt like getting rid of the toys, but his negative feeling has forced him to keep the fighters into his hand. In the World of Imagation, the kids rejection has turned into a form called Xavious, a dark humonoid forms that represent the kid in the real world, he takes all the fighters and spirits and creates a deadly army to prevent a resistance from happening. However, one of the 12 classics fighteres escapes and must fight back to find the truth of Xavious.

Overworld[]

This adventure mode will contain an overworld like map. The map is similar to those from modern LEGO games where you can solve quests and unlock spirits, music, and skins for your characters.

Spirits[]

Returning from Ultimate, spirits are the forms of lost heroes possed by puppet fighers. Though despite them being freed in World of Light, they can be found in adventure mode. Spirit Board[]

Pretty Much the same thing from Ultimate, you can fight various spirits from many series from a selection. There are a couple powerups you can chose that gives you an advantage before fighting against the spirits. You can play up to 4 people, in these types of fighters.

Fighter Spirits[]

Just like the trophies, there a spirits of each and every fighter in the game, however, this time the artwork is differnt with some being their debut art. Fighter Spirits can be played in the minigames.

Spirit World[]

This mode will allow you to see all your spirits roaming around in a free to roam area. The Dojos and activites are also located here. When you interact with a spirit, you can either talk to the spirit or take him out on adventure. You can also look for some spirit eggs or items to obtain some super spirits. Its pretty similar to the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2.

Minigames[]

After collecting a mass amount of spirits, you can take a short break and play minigames with a variety of characters either online or offline.

Survival[]

Here in this mode, you can put many spirits into survival of the fittest(which in a nutshell is the Hunger Games). Here they must gather resources and defeat other into being the last victim.

There is also the option for the spirits to form a team and survive the upcoming disasters or make it across deadly obstacles. If they end up defeated, they wont be gone from your file so you can use them over and over again.

Bumper Balls[]

You can place your spirits among the bumper balls where they can knock each other out of the arena, the game can either be a free for all or teams.

Tourament[]

You can give each spirit a fighter to play from and defeat each other in the tournament, you can place your bets on who will win for the brawl. Its mostly similar to the regular tourament.

Games & More[]

This is the mode meant for single players content and to create some upgrades for smash. When you enter the main mode. There is 2 options. Classic Mode[]

The single player mode where you fight against a set of opponents returns, just like in ultimate, each fighter has set of opponents that they will face off in. The banner returns as well where, you can see cool artwork of every fighter, and get to reveal more as you go along.

All-Star Mode[]

Returning from Smash 4. All Star Mode lets you face off against everybody in the game. They are sorted from when the offically debuted in their staring role. You have a extreme advantage, 5 Heart Container, and no 2nd chance if you screw up, so give it your all

Home-Run Contest[]

The Simple Minigames where you rack up damage to a sandbag and then send it flying to 1000 meters has made a comeback. Nothing much is changed since it’s last appearance.

Target Smash[]

This mode involves you breaking Targets using each and every characters move sets and abilities. There are more than 50 stages to play allowing each character to be used properly. This is also available in Classic Mode during the bonus round.

Race to the Finish[]

During this minigame, you must get to the end of the level as fast as possible under a 60 second time limit. Many stages from beloved franchises make an appearance like the Green Hill Zone and Mushroom Kingdom1-1 will appear.

Mii Fighters[]

This you where you can customize your own Mii Avatar, give it Moves, outfits, and voice clips. You can also test out your own avatar.

Stage Builder[]

The feature where you can customize a stage and play with friends in multiplayer has finally return. Both options from Smash Brawl and Wii U are available. You can build with parts like in Brawl, or Draw it like in Wii U(though you might need to be Handheld mode). You can also set a set of music to play on this stage.

Vault[]

If you wanna visit the chronicals, music, replays, masterpeics or stats. You can visit the vault and take a kind break from fighting.

Album[]

You can take a look at the screenshots or pictures you made during the game. You can also edit them to your likings.

Movies[]

You can watch cutscenes from the Adventure Mode and reveal trailers from the game. The decision to watch cutscenes can be either with subtitles on or off. There is also cutscenes from the fighters Orgins and greatest moments.

Customazible Profile[]

Unlike the past games where icons were used for online play, these games have customization from selectable icons, backgrounds, and aliases for online and local play. Up to 100 accounts can be created per save file. They can also be used as the Switch X's own profile or even upload it to your own profile pic on other social media sites. Online[]

For those who play with friends around the world can play online. You can freeplay with other under your personal controls, or join a friend arena with friends or relative to duke it out or have some fun minigames. Background Making also returns for those who need pratice before battling.

Global Smash Power[]

This is the ranking factor that determines your online factor, a GSP score of 300,000 means that your better than 3 hundred thousand people.

Smash Arena[]

In the smash arena, you can form an arena with your friends or players online with certain settings, music, stage presences, etc.

Penalties[]

If you disconnect online by leaving the game(which is rage quitting), you will be penalized with a time out from the servers. This also happens if you repeatly self-destruct, cheat, gang up on a person, or inactivity.

Differnces from Ultimate[]

  • Stages are now are on multisections based on each installment.
  • Assist Trophies and Pokemon can now be selected.
  • A heavy amount of new spirits are added
  • Fighters can be sorted by either debut or series

  • Spirits that have become fighters are now converted to fighter spirits.
  • You can transfer spirits from Ultimate onto Rebels with Wireless Connection

Fighters[]

Super Smash Bros. Rebels has everyone from ultimate returing to fight with a dozen new characters joining the fray. The roster is small like the orginal 64(this time Ness,Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Jigglypuff are avalible from start). You will contasly unlock fighters every 10 minutes, and then will be challenged to a fight. If you win, they will join you. If you fail, they can be refought another 10 minutes.

Mario will send out F.L.U.D.D from Super Mario Sunshine to push water away from victims. F.L.U.D.D is more powerful when it is charged up by holding down the B button.

Similar to Wario's up B, Panda will spin around to float a bit, it can done on ground or in high air.

Down B: Pose Struck

The Dancer will try to strike a pose, it can leave a big strike depending on how long it remains charge.

Final Smash: Megastar Dance

The Dancer will unleash his grand finale with a set of fast moves, finishing off with a gold move. All other fighters are slowly dragged near with a black hole like style. The music varies by costume.

Mii Mage Miitopia Job - Mage MiitopiaBoxArt This Mii is a known magician, using the style from the RPG Miitopia. She can use her magic wand to sprout fire, or heal herself. Stages[]

There is a mass variety of stage returing from the smash series along with a set of new stages. These stages can be played in Battlefield and Omega forms as well. In competive mode, all stages are played in omega form or battlefield form.

Music[]

This game holds a heavy collection of music from many series. The heavy list can be played from any of the stages with similar series, where songs from other series can be played anywhere(besides the menu). Assist Trophies[]

Assist Trophies are helpers that can help lend a hand in battle. Some of them are gone due to be fighters in the series, but a good chunk of them has returned with suprising new ones.

Pokemon[]

Call out on a pokeball and you get assistantance from a Pokemon, they can now be KO'ed like Assist Trophies.

Trivia[]

  • This game was orginally going to be named Super Smash Bros. Endgame, then it would be Super Smash Bros. Warriors. But do to those names being taken in Fantendo, Rebels became the name.
  • This game marks the 30th year anniversery in the US
  • Despite Ralph being a 4th party character, Ralph is a character who exsisted in a video game, and somehow got a loop-hole around it.
  • Strangley, the two pokemon regions that lacked an offical pokemon rep has 2 debuters from each region
  • This the first game to:
    • Not involve Mashiro Sakurai as devolper
    • Have a Pokemon from every generation(A Gen 8 rep is planned, but when all the Pokémon are revealed, a decision will be made)
    • Have a Pokemon rep that does not debut from Kanto or the latest region(Mudkip, Zoroark, and Grovyle, and Snivy).
    • Have a new Yoshi and F-Zero rep since 64.

  • Shadow was originally going to be Sonics echo fighter, but he became a real fighter and was swapped with Classic Sonic for echo position.
  • Cooking Mama and Just Dance Coach were added due to Hero(Erdrick) and Banjo & Kazooie were added as DLC in Ultimate.
  • One of Awegamer’s did request Lusamine to be a boss, but it was scrapped due to already having 3 Pokémon bosses.
  • Grovyle is represented from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon arc instead of the main Pokémon canon, which is why he has a different icon and how he got in over Sceptile.
