Lanayru Desert is a location that appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and is a large part of the Lanayru Province.

The Lanayru Desert is a very large desert that is apart of the Lanayru Province. The Desert has many quicksand, gorges, blowing winds, tumbleweeds (which can be collected for upgrading items), many cactuses, and electric and fast moving enemies. The Lanayru Desert was once a large land filled with lots of grass, beautiful flowers (such as Ancient Flowers), and a high civilized robot civilization, but due to the climate change the Lanayru Desert changed making all of it just sand, tumbleweeds, and all the robots left to be dead. Another part of the Lanayru Desert is the Lanayru Sand Sea which too suffered from the climate change. The Desert can be seen as it's past by activiating the Timeshift Stone. The Lanayru Desert is also famous for their source of electrivity powered by the Power Generators and most of their electricty can be found at the Lanayru Mining Facility where working carts and robot bodyguards can be found at.
