Ice Climber: Summit, originally referred to as just Ice Climber Wii, is an upcoming platformer video game in development for the Nintendo Wii. The game is a continuation of the Ice Climber series, and is the first in the series to be a 3D platformer. It is to be released in the last months of 2011 for North America and Japan.

Details about the game are unknown, but it is known that the player controls one of the Ice Climbers at a time (Popo being the boy, and Nana being the girl), and can switch between them at any time. The mallet is a weapon that can be taken out during battles, or put away for areas where the characters are required to climb. The Ice Climber not being controlled by the player is controlled by an AI.

Story[]

During a climbing trip, Popo and Nana are lost during a snowstorm and have lost their way back. Popo and Nana must climb and descent, in an attempt to find a way out of the eternal snow.
