Hill Top Zone is a zone in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, using its own name, and Sonic the Hedgehog (8-bit) using the alias Sky High Zone.

Hill Top Zone makes another appearance in Sonic Heroes 2. Here, many of the hills pierce the atmosphere and as such certain parts of the clouds can be walked on. The overground itself goes the length from Underground (Tails' Tornado is parked there), goes to its accessible entrance and comes out at Aqua Lake Zone.
Five teams play Hill Top Zone. Team Archaic play it en route to Sandopolis, where they intend to practice their music, believing the place to be empty not knowing that Tiara Boobowski is busy sunbathing there. Team Chaotix visit it under instruction from an anonymous source later revealed to be Fiona Fox; The Mountain of Destiny had started smoking again, and Fox wants to know why. They discover once at the summit that Seismatron had been awoken after the cable car's cable had snapped and the car fell onto it, rebooting it, and causing the magma chamber beneath it to become irritated. After defeating it, it explodes, causing the volcano to erupt, and sending boulders flying into Oil Ocean Zone and Mystic Ruins. One boulder, as well as Team Chaotix, land in Metropolis; the boulder causes heavy damage, which by chance Team Underground turn up and fix.
Team Dark play Hill Top en route to Metropolis. They want to purchase parts essential to repair a launchpad they've found in Launch Base Zone. Team Babylon also play Hill Top with the same idea, to get to Metropolis with the intention of purchasing parts, in their case to replace parts they believe to have been stolen. Team Babylon see Team Dark with what they believe to be their stolen parts and they fight. Team Eggman play Hill Top en route to Scrap Brain Zone, as they are looking for a Chaos Emerald.
