  • Tree Star - Slightly increases speed with each one collected
  • Red Star - Short burst of speed
  • Earthshake - Everyone ahead trips and loses their powerup
  • Sweetbubble - Unlimited boost for a limited time
  • Leafgobbler - Heads for the lead racer and causes them to trip and lose powerup
  • Rock - Fires straight and bounces off walls, any one that hits it trips
  • Nightflower - Invincibility and boost
  • Skywater - Everyone ahead slows down and is unable to use powerup for a limited time

Royal Rumble - Players start with 3 treestars, if they take a hit or fall off the level they lose a treestar. When all three of your treestars are gone, you lose. The last player left wins

Treestar Troubles - Try to collect as many treestars as you can before the timer runs out. The timer can be set from 1–5 minutes.

Competition - Compete in a cup of four races to get the most points.

Single Race - Race with custom rules.

Battle - Pit yourself against players on an arena. Some powerups are not available.

Time Trial - Race for the fastest time and try to beat my records

Practice - Practice on an open field

VS - Multiplayer version of single race

Speaker Settings: Change sound settings to Mono, Stereo, or Headphones.

Screen Setting: Change the aspect ratio from 4:3 or 16:9.

Sound Settings: Adjust Sfx and Bgm volume.

Ludwig's Code Cave: Enter codes to unlock secrets.

Multiplayer Powerups: Select the powerups you want to use in multiplayer.

Records: Display Best times from time trial.

Levels of difficulty[]

Amateur: Slow opponents very and few item attacks from them.

Intermediate: Average opponent speed, a bit more attacks from them.

Professional: Quick opponents, serious powerup battles.

Master: There are no powerups, so pure skill is needed to win.

Single race options[]

CPU Racers - You can toggle CPU players on/off and their difficulty.

Laps - Can be set from 1 to 9.

Time Trial[]

Ludwig von Flyer will keep track of your records.

Ghosts: you can save as many ghosts as you like as long as you have cartridge space.

Ludwig Ghost: you can see if you're fast enough to beat Ludwig's best times. You'll get a good prize if you can beat them all.

Trivia[]

  • In the Big Water track, Mo will jump over the track when you reach a certain point.
  • In the Canyon of The Flyers track, a flock of Flyers will fly overhead after each lap.
