The Legendary Climbers is the second game for the Ice Climbers and is set to release in 2016 on Wii U.

Gameplay[]
The gameplay is completely different to Ice Climbers on the NES. You now can choose if you would like to go to the Grass, Fire, Ice, Rock, Desert, or Jungle Kingdom. You don't have to concor the worlds in a strict order, exept the Dark Kingdom must be entered last. You now are in a 3D enviornment with tons of enemies. There are many challenges to be revealed later.
Story[]
One day in the Climber Kingdom Plaza, the Climber Kingdom was having their anual festival. Everyone was there, exept Nana said" Hey, shouldn't the Dark Climbers be here? They ARE the rulers of the Dark Kingdom." Just then, the Dark Climbers appeared on the cliff, but no one saw them. Without anyone noticing, the Dark Climbers snuck into the tent holding the "Legendary Climber Crystal"! After shattering it, each piece was taken by a Condor to the end of a kingdom, but they still had their kingdom's piece! If the Dark Climbers had all 7 seven peices, they would take over the Climber Kingdom, and soon after, THE WORLD! Once Popo went to wash his hands in the sink in the tent, he noticed the peices of the Legendary Climber Crystal were missing! As soon as Popo alerted Nana and General Climber, they announced all of the kingdom rulers would have to go back to their kingdom to take back their piece. Also, the Dark Climbers put special chips on animals to make them work for them.

In the Ice Kingdom, you play as your favorites! The Ice Climbers! They are one of the harder kingdoms due to their lack of power and the ice makes them slippery.
