Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Trackers of Storm & Sea is an addition to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon sub-series, to be released in June 2016. Developers promised to make the game reminiscent of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, and their successor, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

Gameplay[]

Overview[]

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Trackers of Order is a top-down dungeon crawler. The aim is to get to the end of the dungeon by finding staircases, or to finish your assigned task (reuniting two Pokémon, finding an item, taking out a crook, etc.). It isn't quite so simple. Enemies lurk around every corner; it's not often you find a friendly Pokémon in dungeons. You can use items to defend yourself or, in the traditional Pokémon style, attack with moves. Once you defeat a Pokémon you will earn experience and eventually level up, sometimes learning new moves. Though a relatively rare occurrence, the defeated Pokémon may ask to join your party.

New Features[]

Multiplayer[]

A new addition to the game is a multiplayer aspect. Up to 4 players can enter a dungeon together and explore of their own accord, separate to the group. Player 1 will be the player character by default and player 2 the partner. If one player reaches the staircase, all players will be transported to the next floor. On the other hand, if one player is defeated, everyone is kicked out of the dungeon.

In addition, there are two versus modes. The first involves engaging in a battle with your friend. You can dish it out in a simple rectangular room, either 1-on-1, or accompanied by some partners. The other mode involves racing through a dungeon against your friend. The dungeons, though randomly generated, will be the same for both of you and you will still use turns.
