Pre-Announcement[]

Several sources claimed Beanstalk Inc. was working on a true handheld console around early 2011. Apparently, a tech demo of Warcraft on "Project Hailstorm" persuated Blizzard to pursue interest on the NGP. By November 2011, Two Tribes was announcing an exclusive Toki Tori for the NGP along with the original's true successer. In early 2012 the system was announced along with a Skylanders game (later learned to be Giants).
