Starting your Adventure[]
When you select the new game button a screen will appear with the new Professor on it: Professor Maple of the Aureus region, alongside the normal type Pokémon, Lovelish. There she will ask you to select the gender of your character and his/her name. Marc and Niamh will be the default names if you can’t decide on a name. After that she will lecture you about the workings of the Pokémon world: about Pokémon, the concept of collecting Pokémon and Gym Badges, and then about the Aureus League. After this, she will ask you what your two next door neighbours are; one male and one female. Douglas and Alice will be the default names if you can’t decide. The game then begins...
Primus Town[]
The game begins in Primus Town (Based off of the Latin for first), where you have just woken up. You go down the stairs to find your mother standing there. She will say that your time is now to get your first Pokémon from the Professor at her lab. Along with you, your best friends: Douglas and Alice will also be getting their first Pokémon too. Your mother then explains that there will be three types of Pokémon for you to choose from: Grass, Water and Fire.
You then leave the house to find your friends outside. You accompany them to the lab, where Professor Maple was waiting. When they arrive at the lab, Professor Maple is distraught as the Pokémon she had prepared for you had gone missing. She then asks if you if you could search around Primus Town for them. You agree and go and search for the missing Pokémon. The first Pokémon, which is Dwindelic, is found behind the Pokémon Centre. The grass type, Tuft, can be found to the south of the town, next to a tree and finally, Serpus can be found in the town centre. After you have collected all three of the Pokémon, you are asked to return to the lab. You return to the lab and hand the Pokémon to the Professor. She then asks which Pokémon you and your friends want. But, considering you found the Pokémon for her, she says that you can choose your Pokémon first!
Choosing your Pokémon[]
You are introduced to all three of the Pokémon. You then are able to choose which one you want to battle with.

Battle Time[]
After you have chosen your Pokémon, Alice will choose the Pokémon that has a disadvantage over your Pokémon, whilst Douglas will choose the Pokémon that has an advantage over your Pokémon. After each of your friends has chosen their Pokémon, Professor Maple decides that each of you should battle each other. Before that, she hands to each of you a Pokédex, so you can register Pokémon during your journey. The Professor suggests that Alice and Douglas should both battle first, with a win for Alice. The Professor then heals their Pokémon. Next, you and Douglas battle and finally, you and Alice battle.

The Journey Begins[]
Now, after the Professor has healed all of your Pokémon, she will lead you outside. She tells them to meet her at the beginning of Route 1, which is just around the corner. But, first she asks Alice, to show you the Pokémon Centre. When you arrive, Alice shows you the Healing Station (A place where you can heal your Pokémon), the Pokémart (A place where you can buy many goods, such as Pokéballs and Potions for your journey) and the Trader (A person who will trade you something for a certain thing, such as a Pokéball, a Potion or even a Pokémon. After looking around the Pokémon Centre, you head outside to find Douglas and Alice. There, they give you the Xtransceiver and a Map. The three of you then head for Route 1, where Professor Maple is waiting.
Route 1[]
When you arrive, you find Professor Maple standing near an area of grass. She explains to you all that routes in Aureus connect the main cities and towns together, and in most routes you will find Wild Pokémon, rather than in the main cities or towns. The Wild Pokémon are mainly found in Tall Grass or similar areas found in other parts of region, such as in the Water and in Caves. Then, she goes on showing how to catch Pokémon. Firstly, she walks into the grass. Suddenly, she encounters something. It is a Wild Pokémon, specifically a Wild Colpup. Professor Maple sends out her Lovelish to battle it. Lovelish uses Tackle, which takes the Colpup's health into the red zone. She explains that if the Pokémon has its health in the red zone, you are more likely to catch it. Colpup then uses Leer, which decreases Lovelish's attack. Professor Maple then sends out her Pokéball, which catches the Colpup. She then explains that using Pokéballs may not always work on the first attempt, and a few trys may be required. But, if you constantly keep using Pokéballs in a row, without an attack, the Pokémon will get used to escaping the Pokéball.
It then turns back into Route 1, where she tells you that she will meet you in the next city. She then hands you 10 Pokéballs and heads off. You then need to go through Route 1, and if you want, catch some Pokémon. It isn't necessary to catch them, but it is ideal to help you in the times ahead.

Durbs City[]
After completing Route 1, you will enter into the next city, which is Durbs City (A combination of the Latin for two and city). There, you will find the Professor waiting for you. She will then register herself and your friends on the Xtranceiver. She will then give you the Pokéconnect, which allows you to trade and get Pokémon from other people around the world. She then leaves. Then, your rivals, Douglas and Alice appear telling you about Battle Stadiums. They tell you that at certain times, some towns get Stadium Battles, in which lots of trainers come into to compete. At the end, there will be a reward. She tells you that there is a small park south of here to get some more Pokémon, if needed, as 3 Pokémon are required to enter. And then you will be able to enter the Durbs City Battle Stadium.
Durbs Park[]
To the south of Durbs City is Durbs Park, where there are a few trainers and some more Pokémon to collect.

Durbs City Battle Stadium[]
When you arrive in the Battle Stadium entrance, Douglas and Alice will be there waiting. They will ask if you have all three Pokémon needed for the tournament, if not, you can go back outside and collect the Pokémon required. When you have three Pokémon in your possesion, you will be able to enter the Battle Stadium. Firstly, you will need to go up to the desk and give Nurse Joy, who always helps with Battle tournaments as well as the Pokémon Centre, your Pokéballs. When you have, she will send them through a machine, where you can pick them up the otherside. At this point, if you don't have three Pokémon, you will be rejected. If you have three Pokémon, you will be allowed in to the Battle Stadium.
Battle Stadium[]
When you enter the Battle Stadium, you will see 7 trainers there already, they will also be taking part. Douglas and Alice will then follow through into the Battle Stadium. The leader of the tournament, known as "Battle-Man". The "Battle-Man" will then procede to tell you the rules: -
- Each player has 3 Pokémon
- A person will be out of the tournament, when all three Pokémon are down
- The winner of the tournament will be the one that successfully complete three battles without eliminating all of their Pokémon.
- After every battle, your Pokémon will be healed.
He then proceeds to show the board, where the matchings are being shown. You will battle three of the 7 rivals. But, if you are eliminated before the final battle, Matthew will win no matter.
