Godzilla: The Video Game is a Godzilla fighting/destruction game. It was released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Wii U.
Plot[]
"In the year 2014, the Earth faced a terrible threat from space! The people of Planet X have decided to take over the Earth. Determined to succeed, Planet X now has an army of monsters. The only hope Earth has left is one of Earth's monsters. Which monster will save the Earth from this new threat?"
Gameplay[]
The basic gameplay is playing as giant monsters (or "kaiju") in destructible environments. Some gameplay elements can change depending on which mode you are playing.
Story[]
In Story mode, you fight against an army of CPU opponents in 20 stages. Each monster has their own different plot events, ending, etc., so the stages depend on what monster you play as. There are cutscene before every stage (you can skip them by simply pressing the Start button). You can also save your Story and pick up were you left off at any time.
Versus[]
In Versus mode, you can do a 1-4 player battle. You can ether fight against a CPU opponent, or you can play against a friend. You can also choose to have teams.
Destruction[]
In Destruction mode, instead of fighting other monsters, you can destroy the city. You can ether destroy the city by yourself, or compete with friends (who ever destroys the most buildings wins).

- According to G&G-Fan Games, there will be continuous updates to the game adding more secret characters.
- This is the first Godzilla video game to have Zilla, Hedorah, Monster X, and King Kong as playable characters.
- This is the first Godzilla video game to be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
- Despite being on the cover, Jet Jaguar, Mechagodzilla 3, and Baragon do not appear in the game yet (they might be added a future secret characters).
- The cover actually shows the 2001 incarnations of both Mothra and King Ghidorah, even though these are not the incarnations that appear in the game.
