Mario is ready to battle! Nintendo's mascot simply doesn't seem to miss out on a tournament like this. Mario is the balanced character of the group, with no real attributes that stand out, making him a perfect choice for beginners.
Dr. Mario is also an alternate, returning from Melee. Dr. Mario is his own character with his Melee moveset, and 8 colors as well, but is mixed into Mario's slot.

Luigi, the green wonder, jumps into battle! Being under Mario's shadow for so long has given him his own unique moveset against foes. Watch out for his Final Smash, the Poltergust 5000! It'll suck anybody it can in.

Peach, the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, steps in! Peach is often kidnapped, but she's tough. She's got great aerial mobilty, and her frying pan packs a wallop! A couple of her attacks have been changed from before.

Bowser

Bowser, the king of Koopas will tear the competition! This big brute is what looks to be your average heavyweight-hard to knock out and packing a punch, yet really slow. Don't let this fool you-his versatile attacks make him one of the toughest opponents.
An alternate version of this character is Dry Bowser, who has blue fire instead of red. There's no difference, however.

Captain Toad, ready for adventure! He mainly attacks using different elements that he uses during his adventures, like his headlamp or the Super Pickaxe. His heavy backpack lowers his jump, which is bad for a light character like him, but he can choose to empty it which increases his jump power but lowers his attacking strength.

Rosalina (and Luma) launch into battle! This cosmic duo fights together, sort of-Rosalina uses the Luma as a puppet to attack from far distances. Despite being one of the tallest characters, she is very light and slow.

Yoshi flutters into the competition! This cute little fellow loves eating-so much, in fact, that his signature move is eating opponents and turning them into eggs! You can then use the eggs as projectiles.

It's a him, Wario! The greedy, obnoxious, almost complete opposite of Mario, his attacks also are different from his "doppelganger". Despite his weight, he's a fairly quick fighter who can combo quickly.

Link, the hero of time slashes through! Link's a man of many words, displaying his emotions through his attacks. He's got a ton of weapons, from the Master Sword to his trusty boomerangs and bombs...you won't know what's coming till it does!

Ganondorf, the king of evil is ready for duel! This man is a large monstrosity-all of his moves pack a huge punch. However, he's notoriously slow and take a while to charge up. If you can master how to hit with this man, nobody can stop you.

Zelda, the princess of Hyrule arrives! She is well known for her magical attacks with many effects, though she is quite slow. However, she makes up for her slowness with some of the best ranged weapons, so there's no need to move up close.

Sheik appears on the scene! Unlike her alterego Zelda, Sheik is quick, strikes fast, and uses many different weapons such as needles and chains to attack rather than magic like Zelda.

Toon Link slashes through!...Wait, what? He may look like an alternate Link, but his specials have been changed a bit to give him some more variety, as he uses the weapons from the games he appears in.

Donkey Kong is charging through! He's not monkeying around-though he's really powerful, he's one of the quickest heavyweights. He constantly attacks with brute force, being a good close-in fighter. This gorilla's meant to stay in the ring!

Diddy Kong barrels in! Diddy is back to fight once more. Quick and agile, Diddy uses a peanut gun, his rocketbarrels, and banana peels to fight. With his great agility it'll be tough to keep up!

King K. Rool rules the competition! This heavyweight brute carries a lot of variety in his attacks, using weapons such as the Blunderbuss from his different alteregos to fight. Despite his power and variety, King K. Rool is by far the slowest character in the game.
King K. Rool is known for having the most alts out of any character, those being Kaptain K. Rool, Baron K. Roolenstein, and Krusher K. Rool.

Samus, the galactic bounty hunter, enters the fray! Sure, Samus may be a girl, but that doesn't stop her from beating on her foes. She attacks with many futuristic weapons such as the Morph Ball and Laser Cannon.

Zero Suit Samus "zeroes in"! If that makes any sense. Unlike the original Samus, a heavy armor-clad fighter who attacks with missiles and bombs, Zero Suit Samus is quick and has great range, and her jet boots give her great kicks. She also carries a plasma whip.

Ridley hunts down the battle! And this time, he finally makes his big playable entrance, because nobody is possibly too large for this scuffle. This ferocious Space Pirate is surprising light for his large size, but his aerial game is great. He attacks with sharp fangs and claws, and breathing fireballs.

Star Fox, reporting for duty! Taking a break from flying through the Arwing, this...well, fox, shows his impressive skills. He has many inventions on his side, such as his blaster and reflector. He's a fast-paced foe.

Falco flies in! Falco is the partner of Fox in his galactic journey, but he's not going to be outshined by Fox. Falco's gotten a better aerial game now, and his attacks are slightly more powerful. He also has a new final smash, the Arwing.

Slippy Toad is on the mission! Slippy is a newcomer for the game, and attacks opponents with the different machines he has made throughout the series. He also uses the Blue Marine as a Final Smash.

Kirby sucks up the competition! Yes, Kirby sucks. Literally! Kirby's trademark technique is inhaling foes and copying their abilities, which can prove to be a mighty ability in order to defeat anybody in his way. Fight fire with fire!

King Dedede, the self proclaimed king of Dream Land is heading in with his hammer! What makes this heavyweight unique is that he doesn't fight directly that much-he uses his hammer or minions for most of his attacks. He can inhale like Kirby, but can't copy any abilities!

Meta Knight, the masked knight cometh! His blinding speed and his quick sword make him a great player for combos, although most of his attacks are weaker for this reason.

Pikachu, I choose you! The Mouse Pokemon is a fan favorite, and it's no shock why, since his electrical powers can't be matched. This nimble Pokemon attacks with many electric-based attacks.

A wild Jigglypuff attacked! This cute round adversary is known for its cuddliness, but it's dangerous in battle. It's moveset has been modified from past games thanks to its newly recieved Fairy type.

Lucario, the Aura Pokemon appears! Lucario has a unique gimmick with his Aura. The more damage it takes, the more damage it deals. Use this advantage wisely, and you have one of the most powerful fighters.

The Victory Pokemon, Victini, fights its way to victory! Being a Pokemon that can grant the power of winning to it's trainer, it uses a special gimmick that allows it to power up every time it KOs an opponent and unleash blazing attacks once it KOs enough.

Soaring in from Kalos, is the mighty Hawlucha!! A true wrestler of the land and sky, he can attack opponents with the devestating power of his blinding kicks! In the air, he soars gracefully and yet manages to be brutal! He is the master of the air throw!

Pit! Sorry to keep you waiting! The angel from Skyworld returns to the ring once more, and it's about time! His moveset is a little more similar to Brawl, where he attacks with the various weapons he can recieve in Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Palutena the goddess of light shines down! Palutena has made it into the competition, where she attacks with her mystical powers. Most of her attacks are ranged, so she's not going to do too much damage up close and personal.

Dark Pit crashes the party! While normally most would assume him to be an alt, he has a very different moveset and even different mechanics from Pit, actually being able to fly with the power of Pandora and using different weapons such as the Ogre Club and the Dark Pit Staff.

Olimar comes down to fight! Olimar isn't really a fighter-one can tell just by his looks. Don't judge a book by his cover, though. He commands a huge army of Pikmin in battle. He can summon Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, White, and Rock Pikmin, each with different powers.

Ness storms in! Ness looks like an ordinary boy, but he has extraordinary powers, such as PK Fire, PK Thunder, and more. He's a pretty neutral character, similar to Mario. His most devastating attack is the PK Starstorm.

Falcon....PUNCH!! Yes, yes, the glorious punch has returned, alongside its user, Captain Falcon! Captain Falcon is a quick man with quite powerful, but long to charge attacks. However, if you time his hits just right, you can knock back your foes very far!

Dillon dashes in! A speedy foe who can use powerful quick charges to grind against foes. He can even set up different towers from his game to act as stationary attack launchers.

Marth

Marth, the noble prince enters the duel! Marth is a mainly average character-a quick foe with a nimble sword used to fight, the Falchion. However, the different ways you attack with the sword all have different amounts of power and knockback. Marth is a strategetic character, and if you can strike with the tip you'll hit harder.
Lucina is also an alternate this time around, but her sword still remains powerful throughout the entirety of the blade.

Ike fights for his friends! Ike is a monster at attacking-He has so much power that it rivals even Little Mac, and his smash attacks have the capability to knock out opponents even when they have taken no damage. In exchange for this, he is extremely slow and his sword moves take a while to use.

Robin brings the thunder! The avatar of Fire Emblem: Awakening is not just another blue-haired sworduser. For one, his hair is white, and his sword has electrical attributes. Second off, he can use many different tomes such as the Thoron or Elwind.

The Ice Climbers are reaching for the top! These two fight as a duo, and you can't have one without the other, or you'll lose a lot of power. Their moveset is designed to make the most out of having both climbers alive.

Villager moves in! The Villager is certainly a unique fighter, attacking with items you normally thought wouldn't harm you and using many different weapons like nets or gardening sets. His most frightening weapon is his pocket, where he can put projectiles of any kind in them and toss them back out.

The Wii Fit Trainer weighs in! She's an athletic guide who attacks using exercise. As odd as it sounds, it's effective, and she's a pro when it comes to moving and dodging, so it'll be hard to land a hit.

Little Mac punches in! A true blue fighter, Little Mac has a ton of punches he can use against you. His most powerful punch is the Star Punch, which, once readied, is almost always a knockout. He's not the best aerial fighter though, so keep him on ground.

R.O.B builds back in! This robot is ready to fight once more, and he has some new attacks in a changed moveset. In addition, he's also heavier and quicker. Watch out for his Diffusion Beam., which has now become a chargeable move of his normal moveset.

Chibi Robo plugs in! Chibi Robo is a very technical character who can switch through many different appliances to use. You'll need to watch and make sure that he doesn't run out of battery, though. If you can charge the battery enough, you can let loose a devastating outage attack!

Muddy Mole digs through! Muddy brings with him a very strategetic form of attacking: burrowing underground and popping up to surprise opponents. It breaks through guards, but it's difficult to tell where you are. Muddy can even build pitfalls!

Takamaru sneaks into the battle! A samurai with many plentiful weapons such as his trusty katana, shurikens, and even smoke bombs that let Takamaru disappear. Takamaru can't use his ammunition forever, though. The more "money" he obtains by landing successful hits, the better scrolls you can get to earn more ammunition!

Inkling paints the town red! (And a bunch of other colors, really.) The Inkling is normally a balanced character, with pretty mediocre stats all around. Things start to change when the ink she fights with marks the battlefield, so she can speed up as a squid! With enough ink, you can power up with a Super Weapon!

Mr. Game and Watch frames in! He may move a bit awkwardly, but Game and Watch is a unique character. He's one of the lightest characters in the game, but he has a very small hitbox due to being 2-dimensional. He also has a couple of unique moves, such as storing projectiles to charge power.

Sonic dashes back in! The Blue Blur returns to Super Smash Bros. Scuffle, with a few adjustments. Similar to Mario, he's a pretty average fighter, with decent power. Where he shines, however, is his speed. Sonic runs so fast that he can actually cause damage by rolling into you at full speed! However, he skids a lot, meaning his speed could be his own demise.

Mega Man rejoins the battle! The blue robot returns for another round in Super Smash Bros. Scuffle. He has a wide variety of moves, and I mean WIDE. With all the moves from the different Robot Masters, he's very unpredictable.

Black Mage warps in! The last third party character comes from Final Fantasy. Black Mage attacks with a wide variety of attacks and magic from the games that he appears in, and can inflict a variety of negative statuses on opponents.
