New Features[]
The gameplay speed is between that of Melee and Smash 4. However, it can be changed to the physics of Smash 64, Melee, Brawl, or Smash 4 in the rules, since players will never be satisfied.
New Online Features[]
Super Smash Bros. Frontline focuses primarily on competitive play, and because of this, online gameplay has been enhanced. For Fun and For Glory are still the main online modes, but a third one has been added: Ranked Mode. Ranked Mode is similar to For Glory, except you have a rating that goes up with every win, and goes down with every loss. Ranked Mode uses a season system, much like World of Warcraft and League of Legends, with the season going on for a certain amount of time. By the end of the season, the players with the highest ratings get exclusive rewards.
Adventure Mode: Rise of the Crazy Core[]
The Master Core may have been defeated...but what of Crazy Hand's power? An all-new Adventure Mode awaits, with the Crazy Core being unleashed at last.
Act 1[]
Adventure Mode begins with a fight between Skull Kid and Shulk in the Midair Stadium, with both Villager and Little Mac watching. However, after the fight is over, the minions of Subspace return, but are led by a surprising leader: Ridley. Ridley orders two R.O.Bs to detonate a Subspace Bomb, but is stopped by Little Mac. Ridley merely orders his troops to attack before flying up to the Subspace Gunship Mk. II and retreating.
