Fantendo Vortex is a Fantendo crossover for the Wii U, produced by Fritez Franchise. Being a crossover, it features many Fantendo characters, worlds and references throughout the game. The gameplay revolves around pushing each other off a stage using giant, Spin Machines.

Gameplay[]

Fantendo Vortex involves combatants (referred to as "spinners") piloting large, top-esque vehicles known as Spin Machines in a 3D environment. A conventional match is set on a 3D arena with the objective of pushing opponents off of the stage, similar to Super Smash Bros.. In a physical clash the spinner with less momentum going into the contact will receive greater knockback along with a unit of damage that will multiply the next greater amount of knockback they receive by 1.1x. While momentum can be built simply by moving around, pressing Ext3 003 will halt all momentum and render the player in a Charge state. Once the Charge input is released the player will regain the momentum they halted plus some additional momentum proportional to the time they charged (momentum profit caps at some extent however). There are also a few frames after initiating a Charge where additional momentum isn't built, which is an optimal instant to use the move for simply redirecting momentum. Charging is generally risky however, as overusing it can stack momentum to uncontrollable levels and being hit while charging results in losing all built-up momentum along with having no current momentum to reduce taken knockback.

Before battle, players pick a character and a Spin Machine. Every Spin Machine has varying stats, those being Speed (rate of acceleration), Handling (tightness of turning), Weight (amount reduces taken knockback) and Charge (rate of Charging). Characters add their stat bonuses to the chosen Spin Machine and pressing Ext3 001 in-battle activates their unique Vortex Ability, which has an effect that varies between characters. After using a Vortex Ability however the move will be put on cooldown, but this time is shortened every time the player clashes with an opponent.
