Ok, everyone. This is going to be my last presentation before I wrap up my take on the Holiday Showcase, so I got to make this good.
One of the most important elements in the Mario Kart: Hot Pursuit series is the cars. There are many brands like Ferrari, Mercedes, Dodge, Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Toyota, Lamborghini and a lot more. How we're going to portray the cars in this one though is to be more realistic and as close to reality as possible. We want each car to handle differently so that way it doesn't feel exactly the same as other cars. Each one has its own unique speed, handling, acceleration, and toughness.
Each car has its own different price when you buy it and is good at certain events. Like the Econoline again is capable of plowing through traffic at high speeds and smashing other racers, while something like a Ford Mustang is a balance between toughness and speed.
Each car also has its own unique cockpit view, where when you can pull the camera back with the press of a button so you can play while looking at the interior of the car, which is a pretty common trend in racing games nowadays.
Overall, we want the cars in Mario Kart: Hot Pursuit 3 to be as close to reality as possible while still being fun to drive and not frustrating to drive.
