Personality and TraitsEdit

Haterman, literally being hatred in physical form, is constantly expressing how he hates other people, things, events, etc. Although his hate is never strong, seething hatred, it is simply in his nature to express it, and he is always calm when saying he hates something, never getting worked up even the slightest. Haterman has a natural curiosity for peace, and will always go out of his way to preserve it, although he dosen't understand why. Deep inside, Haterman feels what other people would call sadness, possibly due to his inability to love, but dosen't understand the concept of any emotion other than hatred, so he won't ever truly realise it. His desire for peace, along with his unrealised sadness, are possibly due to the fact that he has been exposed to other emotions, but he dosen't feel them, because he is physically unable to. The only time Haterman has ever gotten worked up about anything he hates is when he discovered that almost every other being on Swapnote thinks of him as a bad person, showcasing his unrealised desire to love, and to be loved.

Haterman despised Staredude during the early days of Swapnote, due to Staredude's tendency to simply follow Haterman around, staring at him. Haterman notably seemed to genuinely care, however, in the short period in which Staredude was dead, although the reason he was concerned could simply have been due to the fact that Staredude's lingering soul began haunting him, which apparently caused him to talk Touko into bringing Staredude back to life, as well as scrapping her "Who killed Arend?" arc. After that he appeared to have forgotten about Staredude, who didn't make an appearance at all for several months.

  • "Benci" translates to "Hate" in Indonesian, while "Fuath" translates to "Hate" in Irish.
• Haterman is beleived by some to be the unofficial "leader" of the other Emotiens. Nothing has been confirmed, however.
