In Fallout 5, like other Fallout games there are numerous effects the player and enemies can receive through weapons and items. All effects are generally harmful in some way and while some are brought on during combat, others occur due to Drinking, taking Chems and various other items. (Note: more may be added)

  • Player unloads their wielded weapon's ammo (if it is a gun)

  • Stun Batons

Drowzy
  • The player is 10% less accurate with V.A.T.S.

  • The player will always fail Speech Checks

Tipsy
  • Player may occasionally sway left or right
  • +1 CHA

  • Drinking 2-12 different Alcoholic Beverages
  • Spending long times in Bars
Drunk
  • Player may become unconcious for a brief period of time
  • -1 STR
  • -8 PER
  • -2 END
  • -2 CHA
  • -6 INT
  • -5 AGI
  • All weapons are 50% less accurate
  • Explosives deal 25% more damage against the player
  • Reloading guns takes 25% longer
  • The player cannot enter Power Armour
  • The player cannot use Workbenches
  • The player may randomly pass out
  • Drinking 4-16 different Alcoholic Beverages
Addiction Withdrawal
  • Player is 25% more likely to fail speech checks
  • All Chems cost 25% more
  • -2 STR
