Background

Gameplay

Dark Damage

Tr'ps Technique inflicts a special type of damage on himself, called Dark Damage. Dark Damage is not permanent, and has a few interesting properties:

  • Dark Damage will begin to gradually recover itself if a powered-up Special hits.
  • All Dark Damage is instantly recovered if a powered-up Special knocks out an opponent.
  • All Dark Damage will instantly be converted to permanent damage if a powered-up Special misses.
  • If Tr'p takes damage, any Dark Damage, regardless of its state, will become permanent.

Neutral Special Shadow Wave Tr'p thrusts his hand forward and launches a blast of dark energy. Has a little startup, but the blast is powerful.
If powered up, Tr'p will instead fire a stronger and larger shadow beam.
Side Special Shadow Crash Tr'p lunges forward before headbutting as he lands. Tr'p can headbutt early by pressing V2Action Green again.
If powered up, Tr'p will lunge further, and his headbutt will be more powerful.
Up Special Black Hole Tr'p disappears into a portal. After a second, Tr'p will reappear in his new destination.
If powered up, Tr'p's portal causes a dark explosion as it opens. This is very strong, but recovers somewhat slower.
Down Special Dark Surge Tr'p reaches out. If he grabs an opponent, Tr'p will pulse dark energy through the opponent, damaging them so long as V2Action Green is held. After a moment, or once the button is released, the opponent will be dropped on their back. However, if the opponent mashes buttons, they may escape early. If this happens, Tr'p will be knocked onto his back.
If powered up, Tr'p will throw the opponent forward as opposed to dropping them. If the opponent breaks free, Tr'p's Dark Damage will stop recovering.

Technique Feral Chain Tr'p sends the Chained Trip forward, on its chain, from a portal. It travels in a straight direction, coming back after a set distance, and can be aimed in 8 directions. When the Trip hits an opponent, it grabs on with its claws dealing damage. Tr'p will then pull the victim closer (if V2Action Purple is tapped), or pull himself to them (if V2Action Purple is held through the move). Upon reaching his foe, they are let go, allowing Tr'p the chance for a followup.
Feral Chain may also effect certain non-player objects, and can even be used to pull Tr'p to solid surfaces if the button is held. If the Chained Trip is hit, it will go back early.
Body Strike Dark Impact Tr'p slams his darkness-infused fist into the opponent.
