Biography
Edit
In the putrid bowels of Buttville, the evil Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt (or simply Queen Slug-for-a-Butt) commissions Professor Monkey-for-a-Head to construct, in his secret lab, an ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-cyber-suit powered by the Battery of the Gods. Upon completion, Psy-Crow was ordered to deliver the super suit to Queen Slug-for-a-Butt, but was engaged by a rebel trying to steal the package, which falls to earth onto a farm. Close by, Jim, a typical earthworm, is frantically escaping a flock of hungry crows, and accidentally squirms into the super suit. The atomic particles within the suit cause Jim to go through a rapid metamorphosis, resulting in the hero now known as Earthworm Jim.
Psy-Crow descends to earth to retrieve the super suit, but fails and must inform Queen Slug-for-a-Butt. Earthworm Jim overhears them speaking of the evil queen's beautiful twin sister, Princess What's-Her-Name, and Earthworm Jim takes it upon himself to be her protector. Thus, beginning the adventure that is Earthworm Jim.
Throughout his quest, numerous characters attempt, yet fail, to rob Jim of his super suit. Among the villainous lot are: Bob the Killer Goldfish, Chuck and Fifi, Evil the Cat, Major Mucus, and Peter Puppy (when he's angry). He succeeds using his accessories, such as his Plasma Blaster, Pocket Rocket, and even a hungry hamster. He eventually reaches Buttville and defeats Queen Slug-for-a-Butt, and finally sees Princess What's-Her-Name for the first time standing at the edge of a cliff over a pool of lava. However, Jim is only able to marvel at her beauty for a few seconds before a cow, which he launches during his first mission, falls on her, leaving the Princess flattened. Jim walks away, saddened, as the credits roll, and ends with the edge of the cliff breaking with both the Princess and the cow plummeting into the magma, and Earthworm Jim snatches her crown for himself.
