Darkrai is a legendary dark-type Pokémon, who appears to be a black, shadow-like creature. Darkrai can "inhabit" the dreams of people and cause them to have unending terrible nightmares. The only known way a person can wake from one of these nightmares, is to be exposed to the Lunar Wing of Cresselia. Causing these nightmares, however, is just one of Darkrai's defense mechanisms, rather than something of malicious intent. He makes an appearance in Mario Forever 3, Mario Forever 4, and Mario Forever 6. They are Generation IV Pokémon.
