The DS-2000 is a handheld console that follows the release of the Nintendo R4. It is aimed at children 8-12. It is the first DS that is backwards-compatible with Nintendo Switch games, which can be converted to 4D. The games that are built for the DS-2000 are designed in 5D and 6D.
The DS-2000 has a dual-screen display with a 4D, 5D or 6D stereoscopic screen (depending whether you are playing Switch or DS-2000 games). It has a stylus that does not need to make contact with either one of the screens.
The controls (which consist of a cross-pad on the left side and buttons X, A, B and Y on the right, just like the original DS.
Some of the pre-installed apps are Mii maker and the new and improved 'Flipnote Studio 6D' which allows you to make six-dimensional graphics/animations on a black canvas. There is also a camera for the DS-2000 that takes stereoscopic 4D images. Adding those images to Flipnote Studio 6D can convert them to 5D.
If you are interested in purchasing the DS-2000, the retail price is £5 - it is affordable for kids to purchase.
