Chibi-Robo:Techno Breakdown is a game that had trouble during development because of how much memory the game had to take. The 4th in the series (3rd everywhere but Japan) , Chibi-Robo: Techno Breakdown will bring back the Sanderson's Family from the first game!
Story[]
The game is divided into 'Episodes'. There are 10 episodes and bonus episodes can be found within the households.Chibi-Robo continues his adventure with his family. His family gives him a brand-new home and call it the 'Mega Robo House of Chibi's'. Also, due to Chibi helping the Sanderson for the events in the first 2 games, Chibi was given a Plug Sword Add-On. The Add-On allows Chibi-Robo to use a sword that he can use to defeat enemies. As soon as Chibi was given the sword, A power shortage went all over the city. The Sandersons/Veltons heard this and noticed that Chibi can not live without power. Chibi running out of power must now collect The Golden Generator pieces scattered across the city of Calt to keep the city going and save himself.
Gameplay[]
- There is a timer that the players must collect all the pieces before Chibi dies out. Chibi can still access electricity through the Electric Plant that is found on the outskirts of the city. However, due to the Plant lost of energy, you can only recover Power 10x.
- With the 3DS AR Camera, you can scan assorted ARs in AR stations in Participating Gamestops and Wal-Marts, to retrieve Power for your Chibi.
- With SpotPass, you can see other Chibi's from the people you pass by.
Reception[]
The game produced great remarks due to the games stunning design and overall performance to the players. Many however disliked the way how the AR stations worked and were very tiring to waste gas to save your Chibi. Other than such, IGN rated the game 9/10 and Gameinformer 8.5/10.
