Chess Crushers is a long-running beat 'em up series created by Rowdy Rocker and currently being published by Square Enix. The series has been around since 2002, with 14 installments being released so far. Castle Crushers series has spawned a sub-series called Chess Crushers Tatics, being a strategy RPG similar to Fire Emblem series.

The series has been critically acclaimed due the unique beat 'em up style and the series' humor. The overall series has a 72 average score on Metacritic.
