Charizard is a dual-type Fire/Flying Pokémon. It evolves from Charmeleon starting at level 36. It is the final form of Charmander. It can Mega Evolve into two forms: Mega Charizard X using Charizardite X and Mega Charizard Y using Charizardite Y.
Charizard is the game mascot of Pokémon Red and FireRed Versions. It also makes an appearance on the Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Stadium, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky boxarts. It also appears on Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon's boxart as Mega Charizard Y.
This Pokémon flies in search of powerful opponents to battle, and its fire will burn hotter as it gains experience. Its fiery breath is capable of melting boulders, massive glaciers, and has been known to accidentally cause forest fires. Charizard typically inhabit mountains and valleys. The anime has shown that only a weak Charizard would show off its power, and that a group of Charizard resides in the Charicific Valley in Johto.

- : Flamethrower - Expels a stream of flames from its mouth that gradually weakens if the attack is held, similarly to Bowser's Fire Breath. Unlike Fire Breath, Flamethrower's long-ranged hitboxes will make the opponent flinch. (2% (clean), 1% (late))
> : Flare Blitz- Performs a corkscrewing tackle while engulfed in flames. Causes recoil damage at the beginning of the move and again on contact. Has heavy armor (14%). (4% (collision), 15% (explosion))
^ : Fly - Flies upward while corkscrewing. The last hit has great knockback and can KO opponents at medium to high percents near the upper blast line. Grants super armor at the start of the move. (5% (hit 1), 2% (loop hits), 4% (last hit))
v : Rock Smash - Pulls out a boulder and headbutts it, breaking it into pieces. Grants Charizard super armor on frames 5-22 before breaking the boulder. (14% (headbutt), 3% (fragments))
F : Mega Charizard X - Charizard Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard X from Pokémon X and Y. Mega Charizard X consistently hovers around the stage, similarly to Yoshi's Super Dragon. As Mega Charizard X, it has two attacks: Fire Blast, a powerful projectile, and Dragon Rush, a powerful corkscrewing tackle. Unlike the Dragon Rush custom move, Mega Charizard X's Dragon Rush can move in any given direction.
