Centreepyd, known in Japan as モリカデ (Morikade), is a Grass/Bug-type Pokémon. It evolves from Branchnail at level 36 and is the final evolution of Snaileaf.

Biology

Centreepyd are brown-colored arthropod-like tree creatures, having two arms and ten legs, forming a total of twelve limbs, minus six smaller limbs as seen on the torso. Their skin is mostly covered in tree bark, but their belly is cream-colored, like if some of the bark has been stripped off. Their back is covered in a green moss.

Their eyes are present in holes and are colored lime green. They have eyebrows that resemble blades of grass. They also sport an afro-like crown with hundreds of leaves, and two bare twig-like antennae sticking out.

Their hands are also covered in leafs, akin to Trevenant.

It has been confirmed that Centreepyd are able to grow enormous. It gained legs after evolving for quick movement. It has been emphasized that, while Centreepyd are usually friendly creatures, it will become agitated when all the trees in its area are hurt or chopped down by humans, and are willing to pulverize nearby villages when this happens.

Trivia

  • Centreepyd seems to be the tallest final evolution of a Starter Pokémon, being 13'01".

Origin
