Cartoon Network: Toon Warriors is an upcoming crossover fighting game under development by GalaxySoft Inc and Cartoon Network Studios. The game is a spiritual sequel to Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, but does not feature several of the aspects found in it. Toon Warriors is currently set for release on the Wii U, Xbox One, 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC in 2015. Both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will have amiibo functionality.
Gameplay in Toon Warriors is similar to that of it's predecessor, but with some things changed. For starters, Punch Time Explosions have been completed removed from the game and replaced with Toon Smashes. In turn, this replaces the glowing blue cubes with a new item - the Finish Remote. It activates the Toon Smash for that character. Other changes from the original game include the ability to customize your control scheme, a new mode called Hardcore War, and many new characters including Finn & Jake from Adventure Time. However, this game is a spiritual sequel, so don't expect much to return from the original game.
