The Bloodthirsty status is a status in newer Mario RPGs that will first appear in Super Mario RPG: An Error in DIY. It consists of the victim randomly attacking the closest unit, be it an ally or enemy, constantly. The bloodthirsty unit will also have quintuple (5x) Attack, double Speed, and with such high stats will probably kill (not defeat, KILL) the target. The homicidal subject will then eat the target if killed, healing HP and sometimes FP.
One thing noticeable is the blood and gore in a cut animation: There's all the more blood and gore when a Bloodthirsty unit attacks.
- If Bowser has the Bloodthirsty status, his Attack is x7 instead of x5. This makes him the strongest Beast in the series.
- If Geno has the Bloodthirsty status, his Attack is x10 instead of x5. This makes him the strongest Spirit with a status.
- If Waluigi has the Bloodthirsty status, his Attack is x11 instead of x5. This makes him the most weirdly powerful human.
- Rosalina, being quite aggressive throughout the game, will have x13 Attack instead of x5. This makes her not only the strongest human to actually make sense with being strong, but also the deadliest of everyone in the series, being even capable of Limit Break and Overkill!
