Being Dead Rocks is a platformer and puzzle game from Derpin' Great! Studios that is going to be released in Fall 2011.
Jim is an normal guy- he wakes up, gets ready, goes to work, gets home, and eats some burritos. But one night, he is haunted by the large spirit, Ooga-Booga-Zooga-Boo Sr., who curses him to become dead for a week after choosing bad ice cream for him. Jim sets out to steal treasure, get the girl of his dreams, and humiliate his boss before the curse wears off. The game has four endings- Good, where Jim gets the diamond he was searching for, by completing the final level in less than 5 minutes and doesn't die more than 3 times, Bad, where the curse wears off right as he reaches the room, which is for more than 10 minutes or die 7 times or more, Neutral, where you end up with a fake gem, for in between the standards for Good and Bad, and then Epic, which is beat the game in 30 minutes or less, where you get the gem, make the cops work for you, and ride out on Pimp-Tron 7.4.
The levels are simply- get to the goal without being caught. Jim can turn invisible for up to 10 seconds, and pass through certain walls. Throughout the game, there are ecto-shields that kill you, which adds the puzzle part. Pressing some buttons will take them down for a while, but get there fast enough is hard.
Jim: Jim is the most balanced, and the starter character.
Sheila: Jim's girlfriend, who can stay invisible for 30 seconds and moves faster. Get her by getting Good ending.
Sockz: Jim's roommate, who can jump higher, and floats for 3 seconds in mid-air after his triple jump. Get him by getting Bad ending
Pimp-Tron 3.14: He is epic. He can stay invisible for a straight minute, can fly, and is immune to ecto shields. Get it by getting Epic ending.
