Banjo-Threeie is the third instalment in the Rare 's famed franchise Banjo- Kazooie and was the first for the Nintendo Gamecube. The game was on the 23rd of March 2002 in America but it was released on the 7th of June in Japan and Europe due to it being less challanging in the North American version so Nintendo of Europe demanded that Banjo-Threeie would be made more challanging and harder.
Banjo-Threeie takes place two years after Gruntilda's sisters Minigella and Blobbelda were defeated in the second game "Banjo -Tooie".In this game Spiral Mountain's colour has been drained by Gruntilda's husband Groucheltor who also wants to restore Gruntilda, Minigella and Blobbelda's bodies and posses them to control the NPCs of Spiral Mountain to servant him. Banjo and Kazooie have to restore Spiral Mountain's colour and stop Groucheltor from restoring his wife and his wives in law's bodies. And also the bear and bird are joined by the Chameleon Yooka, and the Bat Laylee who are playable characters.
Banjo,Kazooie the NPCS of Spiral Mountain are celebrating the two year aniversery of the re death of Grunty. While, Banjo and Kazooie are preparing the fireworks, a cat falls out of a portal in the sky and crash lands into the barbaque and creates a hole in the ground. Then a strangly shaped hand comes out of the poratl and grabs Grunty's Skull. The portal closes, everyone is shocked by what they saw. The cat climbs out of the hole and introduces himself as CatMat saying that he is a member of the Catomostics from Gruntilda's old home that were expired by her husband Grouchelt, who happens to be controling the big arm from the portal.Banjo and Kazooie ask CatMat to help stop Grouchelt from reviving Grunty's full body.
While traveling through Farmer Qarmer Feilds, Banjo, Kazooie and CatMat meet the chamelion Yooka, who also wants to stop Grouchlet from reviving Grunty's full body. Once Yooka joins the journey. The four characters collect ten jiggies and learn new moves from Mumbo, Then the first boss Snaker, appears and is beaten.Then a windmill appears out of the ground and Banjo,Kazooie,CatMat and Yooka go inside the windmill.
This allows Banjo and Kazooie to access Cloud Clipper Skies and recover more Jiggies and find some Musical Notes. Later, similar incidents of various colours that have been drained have been re painted after defeating the big boss Bonbiltray. Once Banjo and Kazooie beat the boss, the remaining Jiggies from Farm Quarmer Fields are rescued and the picture is formed. Banjo sees Grunty's skull bouncing towards Stinky Sleepy Amusement park. The four characters chase after her.
The four characters find Grunty's skull which is then taken by Grouchlet. Kazooie suggests that they ask some animals at the amusment park. While in the amusement park, Laylee the bat is found and becomes a playable character after you give her two watermelons from the park owner. Throughout the adventure, Banjo will receive pictures of Gruntilda being rebuild by Groucheltor. Banjo, Kazooie, Yooka, Laylee and CatMat travel through 12 worlds and defeat 10 different bosses.
After 11 worlds are unlocked, the group encounter Grouchlet at Grunty's lair , where he is keeping Grunty's sisters. After the group successfully defeat both of them. Grunty's full body smashes the lair and starts battle the five characters. Gruntilda challenges them to a more direct confrontation and an epic battle ensues. But, with the help of the Jinjos they rescued in the various worlds of Gruntilda's Lair, Banjo and Kazooie defeat Gruntilda and her skull is smashed to bits. CatMat's family is back to normal and they all celebrate with a joyous dinner at the beach.
Banjo the Bear- A good hearted, well mannered and sweet natured honey-bear. He's always seen wearing bright yellow shorts and a blue packpack for carrying Kazooie around. As seen in the opening scene, he's an experienced banjo player, he cares a lot for his best friend and those in need and sometimes shares a bond or two with his little sister, Tooty. Unlike his sister, Banjo's not really into adventuring. Banjo first appeared in Diddy Kong Racing.
Kazooie the Breegull - A sassy, foulmouthed, wise-cracking red-crested Breegull and Banjo's best friend. She loves to insult people out of the blue which causes conflicts and fights, Kazooie loves to explore and go adventuring. She also plays a namesake instrument; in this case: the kazoo.
Groucheltor Winkybunion - The main antagonist, Groucheltor OR Grouchelt for short is an evil and stereotypical vampire and is the husband of Gruntilda Winkybunion. He plans to posses Grunty and her sisters so that they can mind control the NPCs of Spiral Mountain.
Tooty the Bear - Banjo's cheerful and younger sister. This time in Banjo- Threeie, the little girl isn't kidnapped, the poor girl is beaten up so badly by Klungo, receiving fatal blows from the old brute. She is the first victim of Banjo's friends to die, others followed, but in the end, Banjo used Grouchelt's machine B.O.B's life force mode to resurrect all of his friends back.
Yooka the Chameleon - A smart and cunning chameleon that joins up with Banjo and Kazooie. He loves to find secrets and he eats cockroaches and flies.
Laylee the Bat- A small Bat that is playable after Banjo gives her a watermelon from the Amusment Park owner at Wiggy Miggy Carnavil. She travels on Yooka's head and helps him get across large gaps, similar to Kazooie.
CatMat the Cat- A fat Blue and hairy cat that is determined to stop Groucheltor from destroying his universe. He has a grudge against Kazooie foulmouthed comments but at the same time he finds them funny.
Tiptup- Tiptup reappears, now leader of Tiptup Show Music located in Tropic Topic Ocean. Captain Blubber- Captain Blubber reappears in Banjo-Threeie as the leader of a pirate crew known as the Wild Crew. Captain Blubber's crew has been kidnapped by his arch nemesis, Captain Shadow Blubber and it's up to Banjo and Kazooie to defeat this imposter. After grabbing the Jiggy from defeating Shadow Blubber, the duo return to Blubber who informs them his crew is still missing. Banjo and Kazooie must find the five members scattered across the world in order to recieve a Jiggy.
Queen Jingaling - Queen Jingaling first appears in Banjo-Threeie as mother of The Mighty Jinjonator and wife of King Jingaling.
Conker the Squirrel- The Squirrel is an unlockable character in single-player mode with Stop 'N' Swop.
Honey B. - Honey B. reappear in Banjo Threeie reprising her role of filling up Banjo and kazooie's honeycomb energy. It is revealed she's the sister of Queen Zubba.
Judge Flybooty- A large blue bottle fly who is Captain Blubber's first mate.

The game use the same models from both Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie but the world models are very similar to Super Mario Sunshine. The Jiggy counting system is the same as Banjo Tooie, collecting notes has returned to the style of Banjo-Kazooie's note collecting, and now there are ten main worlds to explore excluding the two extra worlds the game is a lot more difficult than Banjo Tooie and will keep a player busy for a long time.
Many worlds appear in Banjo-Threeie, a total of ten worlds! Wow! With a wopping total of 110 Jiggies, this will be hard to 100 percent!
Each world has 10 Jiggies, 100 notes, and three cheato pages. To get Isle 'O' Hags Jiggies, you will need to get the first from Jamjars and the last 9 from rescuing Jinjos.
