Amethyst is the male character in Pokemon Amethyst and Opal, and will be the rival if Opal (the female trainer) is selected.

BackgroundEdit

Amethyst was a young child when his family moved to Trainel. His first Pokemon was a befriended Pokemon, a Charmander. He refused to part with it, but he had to. It is hinted that he is from Hoenn when his mom is talked to by Opal because she says, "I remember the old days when he played with Tate and Liza..." Tate and Liza are the gym leaders in Mossdeep City.
