A Non-Meme Title is an umbrella fighting game made by EpicLlamaSwag42. It was heavily inspired by two other umbrella fighters, Umbrella Waffle and the now-deleted Sanguine Uprising.

The game would receive a reboot in early 2017 named Purgatorial Mayhem.

Gameplay[]

The gameplay is heavily inspired by that of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. However, elements of Kirby: Return to Dream Land can be seen in a few character movesets. Some characters will have less moves in their set than others, although new moves can be unlocked via custom movesets.

Characters[]

There are a total of 160 character (excluding DLC), just like in Sanguine Uprising.

See A Non-Meme Title/Characters for a list of characters.

Story Mode[]

The story mode revolves around The Crimson Curse and Pac-Man travelling across the universe, trying to find the crystal statues of all 160 fighters.

Trivia[]

  • The game's title is derived from backlash for the game's original title; Get Rekt. After being requested to change the title to something not involving memes, the creator chose to literally name the game A Non-Meme Title.
  • The game was originally set to have fifteen DLC fighters instead of ten. The five fighters were set to be added summer 2016, and included Lincoln Loud, Temmie, Chandelure, Taylor Swift, and Splash Woman. They were scrapped from being added due to a lack of interest. However, they would eventually be among the first newcomers conceptualized for Purgatorial Mayhem instead.
